Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in personal legal and admin. As a Personal Legal & Admin Expert, you’ll build long-horizon tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.
Expect to build scenarios across:
- Contract review: leases and offer letters against a clause-checklist with known-problematic terms seeded in, insurance policies compared against a defined coverage rubric
- Disputes: HOA and small-claims responses with ground-truth legal-sufficiency outcomes, security-deposit disputes against state-law references
- Personal admin: document-prep packets against required-field lists for name/address/passport processes
These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.
Who we’re looking for
- 3+ years as a paralegal, legal ops professional, or attorney
- Expertise in one or more of the following: residential lease review, consumer insurance policy comparison, employment offer letter review, small claims or consumer disputes, estate document organization
- Comfortable reading and producing personal-legal artifacts: redlines, dispute letters, comparison summaries, checklist packets
- Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
- Located in the United States
Compensation
$70–$90/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Contract and Payment Terms
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
